I've visited Bulgaria six times - mostly to participate in the Varna International Conductors workshop, but I've also taught three short seminar classes there. It's a wonderful country: the music is awesome and the people are very hospitable.

I went to the Scottish Highlands in 2005, rented a car, and drove about 800 miles by myself to explore. It was a bit lonely, but absolutely GORGEOUS. If you've never been there, you need to make plans to go!
